Green Building Renewables is a network of local experts with over 20 years’ experience of installing low-carbon and renewable technologies. GBR installs a range of products including air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage.

Green Building Renewables is actively acquiring like-minded renewables businesses to expand its local network across mainland Britain.

Based in Colchester with head office in York and other regional branches such as Norwich and Cambridge you will report to the Regional Manager.

Green Building Renewables is an Efficient Building Solutions business.

The Ideal candidate with lead the Operations team & supply support to the installation team across East Anglia. The ideal candidate will be able to Multitask and prioritize workloads for the team whilst being able to provide extensive support as needed. The operations manager will need to be organized and proactive in their approach whilst having a good level of technical knowledge and a understanding of renewable products. The operations manager will be responsible for working closely with the team and ensure a smooth and efficient running of the operational department being highly approachable to the team and wider teams in the organization.


Key responsibilities

  • Organizing the daily operations of the team and the installation team.
  • Ensuring the organization and efficiency is maintained to a high standard.
  • Manage all work in progress and job statuses through to completion and commissioning.
  • Planning and delivering the personal development of the team.
  • Regular feedback and appraisal meetings, ensuring the teams can develop in line with the role, looking for opportunities to progress and receive additional training.
  • Support the team with annual leave requests, ensuring appropriate planning for cover.
  • Supporting the technical manager with faults and call outs.
  • Working with the site team to ensure site preparation is complete.
  • Ensure all correct information is collated for commissioning paperwork
  • Detailed knowledge of construction, building fabric and renewable technology.
  • Ordering of stock
  • Managing all stock and deliveries being able to forward think in the ordering process.
  • Liaising with sales ensuring all the installation information is correct.
  • Liaising with finance to ensure the correct information is collated for commissioning paperwork.


  • 5 GCSE’s grades A-C
  • Experience in renewable technologies
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Can do attitude and great problem solving skills.
  • Line management of large teams.
  • Extensive experience of Microsoft 365 Packages.
  • Full UK Driving license
