If your household’s electricity usage and house size is significantly larger, you may require upto a maximum 28.7kwh Fox Ess storage batteries in order to completely power your home.

All home battery systems are primarily designed to store excess produced solar energy but you can also use your home battery system to store cheap off peak electric to use during on peak hours to reduce your overall home running costs. This increases your rates of return even further.

It all depends on the charge and discharge capacity of the of the Fox Ess inverter. If the inverter is a 5kw hybrid/AC then it wil have the ability to charge your battery system at 5kw per hour.

Fox Ess batteries require internet connection (over wired Ethernet or your home Wi-Fi) or a cellular connection to receive software updates and to communicate with the mobile app for energy monitoring.

A reliable connection is required to provide new product features over time. If its connection is temporarily lost, the Fox Ess battery can continue to operate with its most recent settings, but it should not be installed in a location without internet or cellular service.

It can be installed without internet but it is not ideal.

The Fox Ess system can provide a limit power back up, in reality around 13 amps maximum. Some dedicated circuits i.e gas boiler supply, deciated sockets or home office is ideal and will provide, as long as there is power in the battery, during a power cut.
